CHATEAU LA NERTHE
One of the great names of Chateauneuf ,quoted in nineteenth century as being a separate and slightly better wines than chateauneuf itself. All 13 authorised varieties are planted in it vineyards. Director Alain Dugas combines scientific rigour with a deep understanding of his vineyard ,and the wines have been gaining steadily in depth and sophistication .
La Nerthe successfully attains complete ripeness without excessive alcohol . Very elegant.
Taste:Grenache and Syrah dominate the blend providing complexity and balance. Deep red color with purple hints. The nose is intense on red and black fruits tones : black cherry and strawberry.
