In the northern part of the Rhône Valley, from Ternay in the north through to Limony in the south. It is situated on the steep slopes of the last foothills of the Massif Central. The owner Pierre Gaillard used to pretend to be a farmer in his childhood. Indeed he would later study viticulture and enology in Beaune and graduate with a diploma in winemaking from Montpellier. In 1981,driven by his passion, Pierre decided to buy his first parcels of land in Saint-Joseph. At present, the estate represents 25 hectares under vine extending across 40 kilometers from Ternay in the north through to Limony in the south.
Environmentally friendly agriculture is taken in the domaine. Traditional, by parcel, grape variety by grape variety. Total destemming. The philosophy of the winery is to respect the nature and terroirs, which makes wines express the flavors of grapes and terroir characteristics.
