SAMPIETRANA
The history of the winery starts from many years ago, back in 1952. Cantina Sampietrana is located in the historic centre of San Pietro Vernotico a little village in between Brindisi and Lecce, on a surface of 8000 mq, was built by the railway, the only transport system existing in those years, since then the winery remain honest to the true traditions. For over half a century much of the growing has been devoted to cultivating the Alberello Pugliese, a regional speciality devoted to producing the authoctonus grapes Negroamaro, Primitivo and Malvasia, other non-native varieties are also produced: Montepulciano, Cabernet and Chardonnay. Apulia is known for suitable climate for growing grapes , the vineyards of the members are spread over 190 hectares of fertile soil, crafting unique wines in a style that centers on a great body, elegance and complexity.
