Francois de Nicolay
The Francois de Nicolay family, former owners of the renowned Domaine Chandon de Briailles in the Cote de Beaune, boasts extensive experience in Burgundy winemaking and chateau management. They are still active in the Burgundy wine industry, primarily producing negociant wines. The grapes are sourced from Chablis, Mercurey, Savigny Les Beaune, Macon, Volnay, Rully, Bouzeron, and Moulin A Vin in Beaujolais. The style of their wines emphasizes fruit ripeness and skillful use of oak barrels, resulting in a very traditional Burgundian style.
Grapes: Pinot Noir
Taste:The wine features the fruitiness of fresh cranberries, raspberries, and strawberries, with a hint of wet leaves and mushrooms. It also has a slight hint of vanilla and smoked flavors. The wine is light-bodied, with notable acidity and soft tannins, and has a very long aftertaste.
